Hi, I’m Chantelle.
I’m a Calgary romance reader, lifelong book lover, and the woman behind Spread Those Pages.
This started with a simple idea: create the kind of bookstore I would never want to leave.
A place filled with romance and romantasy, special editions and indie gems. A place where local authors are celebrated, readers can connect over the stories they love, and book clubs, signings and events turn a bookstore into a community.
I want Spread Those Pages to feel like more than somewhere you stop in to buy a book.
I want it to feel like somewhere you belong.

We’re still building Spread Those Pages, but here’s what we can tell you so far.
We’re still in the pre-opening stage and searching for the right home for STP. Join the Early Reader List and you’ll be one of the first to know when we have location and opening news.
We’re currently searching for the right space in Northwest Calgary. We want somewhere that works not only for the shelves, but for the events and community we’re building too.
Romance is at the heart of STP - romantasy, fantasy romance, dark romance, contemporary, sports, cowboy, mafia, paranormal and more. We also plan to feature special editions and plenty of local + indie discoveries.
Absolutely. Supporting local and independent authors is a big part of what we’re building. We want STP to be somewhere readers can discover books and authors they may never have found otherwise.
That’s the plan! Book clubs, author signings, release events, craft nights, book swaps and plenty of other reasons for book people to get together.
